Travel Tips
Welcome to one of the most vibrant, exciting cities in the world!
It is full of life, culture and incredible food, and like any large metropolis, a few simple tips will help ensure your visit is smooth and stress-free.

Weather & What to Pack
Expect warm, golden sunshine during the day, usually around 25–30°C which is perfect for breezy dresses and linen shirts.
Evenings can cool down a little, so bring a light jacket, shawl, or something cosy to wrap up.
Currency
The local currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN).
Most hotels, restaurants, and larger shops accept credit/debit cards, even Apple Pay in many places!
However, if you fancy picking up handmade trinkets, flowers, or fresh coconuts from a local stand, keep a bit of cash handy (smaller notes are best — 20s, 50s, and 100s).

Language
Spanish is the main language, but you’ll find that English is widely spoken in hotels and restaurants.
If you’d like to charm the locals, a friendly “¡Gracias!” or “Buenos días!” always earns a smile.
Practical tips
-
Use pre-booked transfers, taxis, or Uber.
-
Keep valuables minimal; hotel safes are your friend.
-
Withdraw cash from ATMs inside hotels or banks.
-
Stay hydrated and pack sunscreen. The sun here is generous!
